You know, I saw this Fendi Peekaboo ISeeU Small bag in the window of that fancy store, the one down in the big city. Now, I ain’t one for them designer things, but this one, it caught my eye. It was a green one, a green calfskin, like them calves that roam the pasture. It looked kinda special, that’s for sure. I mean, is it a perfect copy Fendi? I don’t know. It’s in the specialty stores.
This bag, it ain’t too big, ain’t too small. Just right, like a good bowl of porridge. Not like them tiny little things some of these city girls carry. This one, you could fit a good-sized sandwich in there, maybe even a piece of pie. They say it is Peekaboo Nano and Iseeyou bag. Well, I see you, bag. You are pretty!
Now, I hear these Fendi bags, they’re made in Italy. That’s a long way from here. They say a couple, Edoardo Fendi and Adele Casagrande, started making them back in 1925. 1925! That’s a long time ago! I wasn’t even a twinkle in my daddy’s eye then. They are known for the leather goods. I like a good leather. Durable, you know?
They say this Peekaboo bag, it first came out in 2008. That’s more recent. Still, that’s before some of these young’uns were even born. And it was a big deal, they say. All the fancy folks loved it. Guess it’s like a good quilt, it just never goes out of style. This is the Fendi Fall/Winter collection. I think I need a new bag for this winter.
- This one time, I saw a lady with one of these bags.
- It was a different color, though, a dove grey one, with some fancy stitching, they called it “interlacing.” Looked like a bird’s nest.
- I always think the little ones are cute.
But this green calfskin one, it just seemed so simple, yet so… fancy. It didn’t have all them extra doodads. Just a plain, good-looking bag. They make them with a “padded nappa leather“, they say. And “unlined interior“. Sounds comfy, like a good pair of slippers.
Some folks, they go for them big, flashy bags. Not me. I like something that’s just right. Like a good pair of overalls, they gotta be comfortable, practical, and look decent. This bag, it’s like that. I can imagine the Fendi website is full of these.
Now, I don’t know much about these “specialty stores.” We just have the general store down the road. But I reckon they got all sorts of things in these city stores. Probably even got a special section just for these Fendi bags. They are fancy, you know. They say the shop is at No.1 Austin Road West Shop 2015, 2nd Level, the Elements. I don’t know where is it. But I think it is very far away from me.
They say the Fendi Peekaboo is a rare bag. It is the accessory to Karl Lagerfeld’s ready-to-wear collection. Sounds expensive. This man must be very famous. I don’t know him, though. I only know the folks here in my town.
The bag comes with a Signature Fendi Roma Packaging. I think it is a box. And they even put a note in it. These people are so thoughtful. I think I will write to them. Maybe they will send me a bag. Who knows?
Anyway, that Fendi Peekaboo ISeeU Small bag, it sure is something. Maybe one day, when I win the lottery, I’ll get me one of those. But for now, I’ll just keep admiring it from afar. Like a pretty flower in a field, you just gotta stop and appreciate it, even if you can’t pick it. And the green calfskin one, that’s the one I’d pick, if I could. It’s just like our green fields here. Reminds me of home. And it is a perfect copy Fendi to me. You know, sometimes the simplest things are the best, like a good home-cooked meal or a sunny day. That bag, it’s just like that. Simple, but perfect. The specialty stores may be fancy but I like simple things. They are good.
