CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Super Racing: Where to Find and What to Know Before You Purchase

Alright, so I’ve been eyeing this OMEGA Speedmaster Super Racing watch for a while now. It’s a beauty, no doubt, but the price tag on the real deal? Oof, way out of my league. So, I started looking into getting a, shall we say, “homage” piece.

First thing I did was hit up the internet, just browsing around, seeing what’s out there. You wouldn’t believe the number of sites selling these things! It’s a wild west situation. But I’m not one to jump in blind. I started digging deeper.

I found out that each real Omega has a unique code, like a fingerprint, called a PIC. It’s 14 digits long, and it tells you all sorts of stuff about the watch, like where it fits in the Omega lineup and what it’s made of. For the Speedmaster, the first three digits are apparently 311. Learned something new every day, right?

Then, I started looking at prices. For a genuine Omega Speedmaster Super Racing, you’re looking at a few thousand bucks, easy. My “homage” piece? A fraction of that. Way more doable for a regular guy like me.

Next, I started checking out different sellers. There are tons of them, each with their own websites and photos. Some look super shady, others a bit more legit. It’s hard to tell who’s who in this game.

I did find some that even give you a card with the watch, trying to make it look all official. It’s got numbers and stuff, supposed to be like the real deal. But honestly, it’s pretty easy to see through the act if you know what you’re looking for.

Here’s the tricky part:

  • Finding a seller you can trust.
  • Making sure the watch is actually decent quality.
  • Not getting ripped off.

So, I’m still on the hunt. I’ve narrowed it down to a few sellers that seem okay. They have decent reviews, and the watches look pretty good in the pictures. But I’m taking my time. No need to rush into anything.

I’ll keep you guys posted on how it goes. Hopefully, I’ll have a shiny new “Speedmaster” on my wrist soon, without breaking the bank. Wish me luck!
