- These watches, they have these things called “chronographs.” I guess that’s for timing stuff. Like a stopwatch, but built into the watch.
- They’re made with all these fancy materials, like stainless steel and sapphire crystal. They say that crystal is scratch-resistant, which is good ’cause I’m clumsy.
I also saw that the original ones have these numbers, these “secret codes,” on the back. You can see the insides, the gears and stuff, through this clear back. They call it the “Calibre 9908.” Sounds important. And people say you should only buy these watches from specialty stores. If you do, you’re golden.
But This Copy…
Now, this CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Chronoscope, it’s not the real deal. It’s like a… tribute, I guess. But it looks pretty similar. They even use the same names, like “Chronoscope” and all that.
I read somewhere that these copy ones are much cheaper. Someone said they start at around $9? Nine bucks! That’s a big difference from a couple thousand. But is it worth it? They are made with great care and advanced technology, which makes them expensive.
I found a bunch of places online where you can get these copy watches. I didn’t save them ’cause I’m not sure I want one yet. This CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Chronoscope classic style, it’s a copycat watch. But it looks alright. If you want to look like you got a fancy watch.
Honestly, I’m still on the fence. A real Omega would be nice, but that price tag… ouch. This copy, it’s tempting, but it’s not the same. I guess I’ll keep thinking about it.
